EXCLUSIVE: " Abhishek Bachchan is looking so good in the picture" - Dabboo Ratnani reveals how Varun Dhawan reacted

The ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani has released several pictures from his calendar shoot of 2021. The photographs have been immensely loved by a large mass of audiences. The 2021 calendar also featured Abhishek Bachchan where he was donning a three-piece suit with a hat and a walking stick.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Dabboo Ratnani spoke about how he managed to click such an electrifying photo. He also talked about Varun Dhawan's reaction upon seeing it. Dabboo said, "That Abhishek shot, I think it is very interesting. I think we used a retro projector which is a working projector from I think the 1930s or something where we lit him up with that beam of light of the retro projector and I added a few small-small lights to create this whole dramatic black and white shot. So, it's creatively it gives us when actors are ready to experiment. It gives me also a great level of satisfaction to kind of do whatever I feel like. I feel that we can really with this calendar, there's no client, there's no agency. It's just the actors, the team and me. When we work together and create something new."

 

Later on, he also talked about how did Varun Dhawan reacted to it as he couldn't shoot this year. The photographer said, "This time Varun couldn't shoot and he was in a particular look of a movie which he could not reveal for a photoshoot. He didn't want to kind of make that look known. But, he messaged me last night and he said I love Abhishek's picture and he's looking so good. He actually sent me the picture on my Instagram on my DM and said that I love this shot of Abhishek. I love the way it is done with the lighting. AB is looking so good in the picture."
