Drishyam 2 Trailer Launch: Ajay Devgn on reuniting with Akshaye Khanna – “Good actors bring out the best in you”

Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Akshay Khanna are currently gearing up for the release of Drishyam 2, the hotly-anticipated sequel to Nishikant Kamat’s 2015 film Drishyam. Ajay and Akshaye have previously worked together in the past in 2002 film Deewangee, a film where Akshaye played a criminal lawyer who tried to frame Ajay in a case. Years after, the duo is set to face-off in a similar space in Drishyam 2.

At a press conference in Goa for their upcoming mystery-drama on Monday, Ajay talked about how it felt reuniting with Khanna and how he came on board for the role. Speaking of the kind of rapport the two actors share, Ajay said, “Casting I think Abhishek decided but it is always fun. We share a great rapport also. It is always great to work with a good actor because good actors bring out the best in you also. We needed somebody like. So yes, it's really great!”

 

Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 will bring back Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta among others. Akshaye Khanna is the new addition to the cast. The upcoming Hindi remake of Malayalam film with the same name, begins seven years after the events of the first film, testing Vijay’s resolve to protect his family for whom he would cross any limits. This movie aims to provide justice to the ‘crime-thriller’ genre in every way possible.

 

Viacom18 Studios Presents Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Panorama Studios present, Drishyam 2 produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. The original score and music are by Rockstar DSP (Devi Sri Prasad). Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 will release theatrically on November 18, 2022.
