Friday update: 'Golmaal Returns' strong, 'Fashion' steady at select screens

 

After a strong Wednesday and Thursday, everyone was waiting for the feedback to the two new releases, GOLMAAL RETURNS and FASHION, on Day 3 [Friday]. GOLMAAL RETURNS opened at major single screens on Friday, besides having extensive shows from Friday onwards at multiplexes. Expectedly, the laughathon continued to dominate the domestic box-office. The fun factor and lack of any major film during the festive season has done the trick, thus proving advantageous for the film.

On the other hand, FASHION is holding well at select plexes of metros and mini-metros. The 'Adults' certificate is keeping the family audiences away at places. However, the audience feedback is very encouraging, but will the appreciation translate into big numbers on Saturday and Sunday, is to be seen.

 

While the calculations about the weekend nett is being guessed, it remains to be seen if the two films manage to cover the high prices and emerge profitable ventures for their respective distributors, Studio 18 [GOLMAAL RETURNS] and UTV [FASHION], since the films have been released by them solely across the globe.
