BO update: New releases start on a slow note, Happy New Year steady
After opening on a massive note last week, the Shah Rukh Khan - Deepika Padukone starrer HAPPY NEW YEAR (HNY) continues its successful run at the box office this week as well. On the other hand, ROAR: TIGERS OF THE SUNDERBANS, FIREFLIES and SUPER NANI that released today have opened on a low note.

As expected HNY continues to remain as the audiences first choice, although the film is expected to face stiff competition in metros from Hollywood releases Ben Affleck's GONE GIRL and Brad Pitt's FURY. While from the new Bollywood releases, the Rekha starrer SUPER NANI is expected to fare better than the rest.
Now all eyes are on the Akshay Kumar starrer THE SHAUKEENS that releases next week.
