Satyameva Jayate 2 Box Office – The John Abraham starrer opens at Rs. 3.60 cr. on Day 1

Satyameva Jayate 2 starring John Abraham is the new release of the week which has arrived on Thursday itself. Coming from the hit team of Satyameva Jayate, the sequel also follows the same pattern, mood, stage and setting with the whole masala quotient been amplified further due to John Abraham being seen in a triple role. The film was expected to open in Rs. 6-7 crore but call it the Thursday release factor that the opening is around Rs. 3.60 crores. This is just about fair as now all eyes are on how the film moves ahead from this point on. There is competition from Antim - The Final Truth that will also come into play from here on.

Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi now stands at Rs. 183.75 crores after three weeks. It has done quite well so far to reach till this point and while lifetime total of Akshay Kumar’s another major success 2.0 (Hindi) [Rs. 189.55 crores] will be surpassed this weekend itself, it would be interesting to see how much deep into the 190s will the film go from here. Rohit Shetty has delivered yet another major entertainer and brought back theatres in action. However even he would be aiming to get rewarded with yet another double century to his name after Simmba and Golmaal Again.
