Jugjugg Jeeyo Box Office: Film ranks as Varun Dhawan’s eighth all-time highest opening weekend grosser

The Varun Dhawan starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo directed by Raj Mehta was released last week. After immense promotions and much hype, the film which hit 3375+ screens in the domestic market opened on a good note. Following this, with a good rate of advance bookings, the business of the film saw good growth on its second day. Now, on its third day running the film has a further jump in collections.

In this box office report, we look at the opening weekend collections of Jugjugg Jeeyo while comparing the same to Varun Dhawan’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 36.93 cr the film, manages to surpass the collections of Varun’s previous releases like Sui Dhaaga – Made in India which collected Rs. 36.60 cr, and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania which collected Rs. 33.74 cr, to emerge as the actor’s eighth highest opening weekend grosser. However, despite the wide release and the massive promotions, the business of Jugjugg Jeeyo does not manage to surpass certain other releases like Dilwale which collected Rs. 65.09 cr, Kalank which collected Rs. 62.75 cr, Judwaa 2 which collected Rs. 59.25 cr, ABCD 2 which collected Rs. 46.35 cr, Badrinath Ki Dulhania which collected Rs. 43.05 cr, Street Dancer 3D which collected Rs. 39 cr, and Dishoom which had collected Rs. 37.32 cr.

 

Going further with positive feedback from the audience in metro cities, the business of Jugjugg Jeeyo is expected to see further growth. In fact, trade predictions state that Jugjugg Jeeyo which faces little to no competition will see a good rate of growth over the coming weekdays.
