Gangubai Kathiawadi Day 2 Occupancy: Alia Bhatt starrer witnesses jump of 25%; makes strong gains on Day 2

Yesterday we saw the release of the much talked about and keenly anticipated Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi. Starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role the film has been receiving positive feedback from the critics and audience alike. After opening on a good note, the second day business of the film has already seen a jump of nearly 25% across morning and afternoon shows.

Reports suggest that the strong word of mouth among the audience has greatly helped the business of the film. This coupled with positive reviews has gone a long way in aiding the business of Gangubai Kathiawadi. Talking about in theatre footfalls, non-national chains have also been faring well, with a significant jump in collections being expected over evening and night shows.

 

If that was all, as the weekend continues, the business of Gangubai Kathiawadi is likely to see further growth with sharp increase in footfalls in both metros and non-metro locations on Sunday. Given the current business trend of Gangubai Kathiawadi, trade estimates state that the film could see Day 2 end with approx. Rs. 13 cr. mark.
