Box Office - Pathaan has an excellent sixth weekend, will have a very good week

It was an excellent sixth weekend for Pathaan as yet again, over Rs 5.50 crores came in. This was the same case last weekend as well and at that time there was competition from Selfiee which had brought in more in its first weekend. This weekend there was no competition whatsoever and hence the fall wasn’t there either because otherwise, a 50% drop is routine.

All of this was made possible with Rs 1.07 crores coming on Friday, Rs 2.10 crores coming on Saturday and then Sunday collections standing at Rs 2.60 crores*. It’s indeed a big deal for any film to collect this much despite coming off a Rs 500 crores total behind it and Pathaan is doing this with ease, courtesy the strategy of reduced ticket prices in the last couple of weeks which has resulted in footfalls seeing a major rise. Now, even repeat audiences are coming in and that too at multiplexes, which is a very rare scenario for an action thriller like this which typically exhausts its majority of audiences in the first couple of weeks itself.

 

So far, in the Hindi version, the film has collected Rs 516.35 crores* while overall numbers stand at Rs 534.68 crores*. An all-time blockbuster for a reason.
