Arjun Patiala Box Office Collections: Diljit Dosanjh – Kriti Sanon starrer opens to low numbers, collects Rs 1.25 crores on Friday

Arjun Patiala has opened to low numbers at the Box Office. Even with minimal expectations, the film was touted to start in Rs 2-3 crores range. However, the collections are lesser with Rs 1.25 crores coming in. Considering the fact that the film had Diljit Dosanjh in the lead, who has recently delivered huge with Punjabi superhit Shadaa, one expected far better footfalls. In fact, even up North, the numbers haven’t been optimal.

The film stars Kriti Sanon in the lead, who recently delivered a superhit in Luka Chuppi. However, after a series of successes, this one hasn’t quite started on a note which would make her celebrate.

 

Arjun Patiala is also facing a lot of competition from JudgeMentall Hai Kya which has just released. Moreover, there is also The Lion King as well as Kabir Singh playing in theaters, and between these three films around Rs. 15 crores came on Friday, which turned out to be way too much for Arjun Patiala to make its presence felt.

 

One now waits to see the kind of jump that the Rohit Jugraj directed film takes today and tomorrow as that would be paramount for its extended run beyond the first week.
