Remarkable special-effects for Shahjahans last journey:

Mashreq Communications Limiteds Taj Mahal An Eternal Love Story is currently undergoing its fifth schedule (from July 25 to August 10, 2002), at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. A team of special-effects experts has been brought in to picturise Emperor Shahjahans final journey to heaven in the most creative manner, while a 400-member-strong unit is working relentlessly round the clock on yet another intricate palatial set for the film, Some dramatic scenes are also being picturised on Kabir Bedi, Manisha Koirala, Arbaaz Khan, Pooja Batra, Arbaaz Ali and Kim Sharma. The lead pair of the young Shahjahan and Mumtaz Mahal is yet to be revealed. Written, directed and produced by Akbar Khan, the film has music by Naushad and lyrics by Naqsh Layallpuri. Other credits include dialogues by Mohafiz Hyder and Rajeev Mirza, cinematography by R.M.Rao, choreography by Saroj Khan, art direction by Ratnakar Y Phadke, costume designing by Anna Singh, action direction by Sham Kaushal and audiography by Sona Choudhary. Shahala Sheikh is the executive producer, while Anil Wasia is the production designer. The film is co-written by South African freedom-fighter Fatima Meer.
