Imran Khan recently replaced Ajay Devgn in Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. However, the actor has now been told to gain weight and undergo an image makeover for the film.

Though the actor has to undergo this massive change, Imran being the experimental actor that he is, has decided to adopt a novel technique, that of joining an akhaada. The akhaada is basically a free style old world gym where people built their bodies working in mud without using machines.

 

For this training process, Imran has found an old akhaada in Juhu and has started working out there with pehalwaans.

 

Vishal Bhardwaj, who is known for making his actors go through a complete image makeover, is looking into every minute detail.

 

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola stars Imran opposite Anushka Sharma, a first time on-screen pairing. The film is co-produced by Fox Star and Vishal Bhardwaj.
