Amitabh Bachchan to act in TV series

Amitabh, the man who rules the hot seat of Kaun Banega Crorepati, has been quite comfortable when it comes to small screen. This legend has proved that small screen is just as popular as the silver screen and he has no inhibitions in experimenting even with this medium of entertainment. The actor is all set to make a debut in a television series which will be directed by Anurag Kashyap. But he seems just as anxious as a newcomer while talking about his new venture.

 

Commenting on the venture, Bachchan posted on his blog, "Sony and us had a press conference today to announce my participation in a Tv serial which starts to shoot in a week ten days. This is a fresh initiative and one that I felt I needed to explore, so there it is. It is being produced by Endemol and Saraswati Creations, and has its creativity in the hands of Anurag Kashyap.. The idea really is to do something out and away from the groove, with great production values and to make it more finite and watchable. It is another first for me and I look towards it with great anticipation and apprehension."

While the details of the show have been kept under wraps, the only thing revealed is that Big B will be shooting a few episodes and the serial will be aired on Sony, later this year.
