“Happy birthday to You, Happy birthday dear Shah Rukh…â€
Yes, we know that all you fans would’ve ideally wanted to sing the birthday song to him and wish him personally. But don’t be sad if you can’t give him hugs and birthday bumps,
IndiaFM is giving a list of things to do on SRK’s birthday this year. Go through the following suggestions and you’ll have King Khan all over the place on this special day.
1. MOVIES
‘King Khan’ as what he is called today. A self-made man, Shah Rukh reached his heights through the one medium on which our social lives depend: MOVIES. Shah Rukh was always good in acting not just in films but also on stage and at times in real life. Unfortunately, we do not have those events captured on camera.
However, SRK has given enough number of hits through his career till date and picking up the top five from them was quite a task for us. On his birthday, we suggest top five SRK films for you.
- Darr – At a stage of his career where an actor would always chose to be a protagonist, SRK did the opposite. He played the role of an obsessive lover, who would go to any lengths to get the girl of his dreams with or without her permission.
- Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge – Romantic films are a child’s play for SRK. DDLJ goes on record to be his best ever romantic film. A non-believer in love and relationships, but he goes to grave lengths to proclaim his love and win hearts.
- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – ‘Pyar Dosti Hai’ were the lines he stood by throughout the film. Portraying the intensity of his love, which brought tears in the eyes of millions who watched the film and who still keep watching the film.
- Devdas – Love is bliss. To love someone so much, that you can let that person go away, takes a lot of strength and this was depicted with ease. He may have died in the film but he captured million of hearts with his intensity, forceful, and passionate act.
- Chak De India – Shah Rukh was the coach of the Indian Women's National Hockey team. Determined to change the fate of the team and that of its players, he played to win, and left no stone unturned. This is considered as one of his best performances ever.
Among the 51 films and 10 special appearances that he has done, SRK’s personal favorite happens to be
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.
