First of all, who am I?.. Okay let’s cut it short and do what I am here to do.
The Queen of Hearts and the Kaminay hero comes together for the first time in this light hearted romantic comedy with a backdrop of cricket.
Lets elaborate the plus points first, like all other sporty films including chak de,Goal ,Lagaan doing well at the box office, this film has the chances too and why not ,India is a cricket loving nation. The script is very different and strong.
The minuses are that It gets weak in very little portions of the film as it reminds us of chak de , Bunty aur babli , DDLJ and even Rab ne bana di Jodi,a little bit of this and that.
The film opens with a song like Bunty aur babli and Laaga chunari mein daag.
Rohan’s entry is a typical one reminding us of DDLJ
Rani as Veera was just amazing, with a touch of her character from bunty aur babli she did more than full justice to the character she looked and performed too good.
Shahid kapoor as Rohan was sparkling, very different from kaminay like we all want to see him.
Rani as Veer was outstanding, there could not be a better Veer.None of the actresses could do it so well like Rani did,I think she was awesome and looked cute as a sardar boy.
The chemistry between shahid and Rani was really good.
Ive been reading about the assorted actors which are not used well in the film but I strongly disagree.. Sherlyn Chopra is a Lousy actress with good looks and body and that pretty much showed. Rakhi Sawant again a lousy actor but a terrific dancer and was used well in two songs.Anupam Kher and Dilip had strong roles too.
The cinematography is amazing, Punjab is beautifully captured.
The choreography was outstanding,Vaibhavi has outdone herself.
On the whole Dil Bole Hadippa is Highly recommended. Its a must watch.
