Bhooth Bangla is now assured of a good run for another four weeks now. While the first week was as it is good, it’s the second weekend which has sealed the deal for it. Though the weekdays were good, they had still reached around Rs. 5 to 6 crores range. Hence it had seemed that the best case scenario for the second weekend would be Rs. 20-25 crores.
However, with second Friday turning into to bigger than the Thursday before and then Saturday seeing more than 80% growth resulting in double digit score again, it was further reaffirmed that the film had been well accepted by the audiences. To think of it, Saturday was also the day when IPL had peaked with the biggest run score followed by successful chase ever in history and still that didn’t deter audiences to throng in good numbers to theatres. Moreover, Sunday saw further growth as well which resulted in Rs. 12.20 crores being accumulated at the box office.
That’s fantastic for the Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan and Ekta Kapoor horror comedy as now the total has reached Rs. 122.75 crores. Even if that was the lifetime score for the film, it would have got into profit zone and here this number has been reached in just 10 days. With the film all set to keep enjoying for four more weeks now, it’s now assured of a solid lifetime, which would be much ahead of the Rs. 150 crores, something that will consolidate its status as a box office hit.
