Dhurandhar isn’t just a tycoon; it’s a full-blown box office beast. With tickets selling like hot samosas nationwide, the film had already minted Rs. 20 crore from paid previews by Wednesday, 6 PM, and the numbers are only getting bigger by the hour.

The Aditya Dhar directorial with Ranveer Singh in the lead is aiming to clock an advance booking in the range of Rs. 30 crore, and clock business around the Rs. 35 to 40 crore mark in the paid previews alone, which could be historic to say the least. The only thing that can stop this from happening is the capacity, as the film is seeing a limited release post 5 PM, and shows are beginning to go houseful in advance. There wouldn't be many walk-ins happening for Dhurandhar on March 18, as 80 per cent of business could be booked in advance.
The film is already peaking at a lot of centres, with unheard demand for more shows. Talking of national chains, the film has sold about 2.20 lakh tickets already for the paid previews and is headed for a closure around the 4 lakh mark, and this could have been a lot higher, but capacity issues will deter the prospects.
It's a long film, which limits the showcasing, but nonetheless, we are on the verge of seeing history being created as the film is set to hit numbers that might not be replicated for years to come. A paid preview in the north of Rs. 30 crore, and first day business in the north of Rs. 70 crore will take Hindi opening day nett to Rs. 100 crore.
