a summary: the story is a fantasy. so everything is possible. above ground level there's real world we live in. where character smokes. down below ground level is another world where there's person keepin accounts of good n evil. our lead character john abraham goes there to quit smokin. he joins tht program of 5 stages. when he smokes for 2nd time his punishment was tht his 2 fingers will be removed from his hands. but in movie it so happens tht when he smoke for 2nd time in spite of cutttin his finger his wife ayesha takia is killed. after which movie runs its course till 5th punishment. and john abraham wakes up in his bed from a dream and finds ayesha takia alive, he's shocked. he goes to washroom and sterts tap water and takes a look at his hand where his two fingers are missing. and then film concludes. so after getting his fingers removed he comes back to his home goes to sleep with ayesha and rest of the movie happens in his dream.
review: no wonder ppl have seen this movie ten times .. the movie deserves tht. there are no lessons to be learnt frm this movie. it is a piece of art in its pure form. it's a masterpiece. and anurag kashyap is a genius.
