From a veteran star to a reality show judge, we have seen Mithun Chakraborthy in varied avatars. But the respected actor has been away from the industry during the last two years and the reason was his ailing health. While his son Mahaakshay continued to assert his fans assuring them about Mithun’s recovery, he also put many speculations doing the rounds to rest.
Now, with Mithun Chakraborty returning to television, the actor came out in the open to talk about his hiatus. He was last seen in the Bollywood film Hawaizaada followed by a few other projects down South and in his mother tongue Bengali. Very few may be aware that Mithun suffered an injury whilst shooting for Luck in 2008 and while he recovered temporarily then, the pain resurfaced in 2015 followed by high fever that further deteriorated his health.
In fact, reportedly, the veteran star had taken off to Los Angeles for the treatment of the same. Mithun recently revealed that he was bedridden after that but asserted that he is completely cured now. He also added that the doctors have warned him to take care of his lifestyle since now his health is completely dependent on the choices he makes.
At the same time, Mithun Chakraborthy is equally excited about his forthcoming projects which include TV show to Bollywood to regional films. Speaking on his films, Mithun mentioned about being a part of Ram Gopal Varma’s Geher, Anil Sharma’s Genius, Anup Jalota’s Saahas and even a Kannada film titled The Villain starring Sudeep and Shiv Rajkumar. Besides that, he is also excited to be a part of ‘The Drama Company’, the comedy show featuring Krushna Abhishek and others.
