No kissing, not even touching!

Guess where is Mohit Suri’s AWARAPAN unit headed for in January? Hong Kong. “I thought of Bangkok initially, but a number of Hindi films have already explored the place. Seoul too crossed my mind, but GANGSTER was shot there. Not many Hindi films have been filmed in Hong Kong of late and that’s the prime reason we are heading for the East,” Mohit Suri tells me.
Not that Mohit has too many alternatives. “Europe is ruled out since winter has set in already. I don’t have many choices as far as locations go,” he smiles. Incidentally, Mohit had shot ZEHER in Goa, KALYUG in Zurich and WOH LAMHE in Goa again.
While on WOH LAMHE, not many are aware that Mohit had approached Emraan to enact the lead role in the film. “But he [Emraan] always felt that Kangana had an author-backed role. He wasn’t keen on doing the film, that’s how Shiny Ahuja stepped in his shoes,” Mohit recalls.
For AWARAPAN, Mohit has asked Emraan to grow his hair and also sport a goatee. “I want a particular look for the film. Emraan’s character is of the silent, reticent kind and the look gels well with his role,” the talented director says. Any kissing scenes in AWARAPAN? “Lip-locks? No way! Actually, Emraan is not even touching his heroines in the film,” Mohit laughs.
