Upen wins best debut award at GIFA

Upen Patel has surprised everyone by winning the best newcomer award at the recently concluded GIFA awards in Malaysia. Upen who is currently in Malaysia is very overjoyed on winning this award. When contacted as to how it felt winning the best debut award, Upen replied “I feel I am on top of the world. It feels great especially when you are an outsider to the industry. Winning is special when you have no Godfather in the industry and you are trying to make your mark. I really cherish this award.”
We also asked Upen about the news of him not doing dubbing for his own films and he replied, “I do not know where it comes up from. I am doing my own dubbing for Namastey London and the other films that I am doing have not yet reached the dubbing stage so I really can’t tell you whether or not I am doing the dubbing for them.”
Well by the looks of it, Upen is surely a star in making and this is justified by winning an award for his very first film.
