Big bash for ‘Cash’

This was the mother of all parties!
There are parties and there are more parties. But none could outdo hi-profile entrepreneur Ajay Gupta’s stylish and extravagant bash last night at his palatial residence in Cape Town. The occasion? Actually, a no-occasion party for friends and the team of CASH. “We just felt like being with friends,” the extremely humble and soft-spoken entrepreneur tells me.
The guests got a red carpet welcome [literally!], followed by an impressive performance by Zulu dancers at the entrance of the mansion. A traditional chain was gifted to each and every guest, before being led into the massive complex. The CASH team was present, so were important ministers and dignitaries.
The food was sumptuous, but more than anything else, what everyone carried home was the down-to-earth attitude of one of the affluent men in South Africa. The party shifted to a trendy nightspot after dinner.
