‘Eklavya’ shifted to republic day

Everyone’s talking about LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI. And rightly so!
While Vidhu Vinod Chopra, its producer, is reaping the harvest, the enterprising producer has also decided to plan out the release strategy for his next film EKLAVYA – THE ROYAL GUARD. Initially slated for 15th December release, the film has been shifted to 26th January 2007 [Republic Day].
Incidentally, there are two more films slated for release on Republic Day: Firoz A. Nadiadwala’s FOOL AND FINAL [directed by Ahmed Khan] and UTV’s METRO [directed by Anurag Basu]. Besides, Nikhil Advani is releasing SALAAM-E-ISHQ a week before, on 19th January. “The entire shooting is complete,” Nikhil tells me.
This winter [January 2007] is sure going to be hot!
