Truth behind ‘Gustakhi Maaf’ shelving

Producer Bablu Pachisia [ZAMEEN, JO BOLE SO NIHAAL, JAWANI DIWANI] is peeved with a section of the press. Reason: A news-report states that the project Bablu was planning to make with Dharmesh Darshan, GUSTAKHI MAAF, has been shelved since Dharmesh’s AAP KI KHATIR opened to a poor response.
“It’s irresponsible reporting. A pack of lies. The least the journo could’ve done was crosscheck facts,” Bablu fumes. His anger is justified, since the journo didn’t even talk to Bablu or Dharmesh before fabricating this news-report. “The fact is, Dharmesh and I decided to part ways on 1st August, more than three weeks before AAP KI KHATIR hit the screens. The fate of AAP KI KHATIR has nothing to do with our going separate ways,” Bablu says, “We parted on a friendly note. There was no bitterness at all.”
Please continue. “We worked together for four months, but realized that we weren’t heading anywhere. In fact, Dharmesh suggested that we’d work together in the future, if he found the right script for me. He even refunded the money I paid him at the outset. He said he didn’t want to sit on something that didn’t belong to him. I’ve yet to come across a wonderful man like Dharmesh,” Bablu adds.
Bablu hasn’t closed the doors on Dharmesh, even though AAP KI KHATIR has failed to work magic. “My doors are open for Dharmesh. I’ve started respecting him all the more after this episode,” he smiles. The clarification should silence the gossip mongers!
