By IndiaFM News Bureau, August 9, 2006 - 04:37 IST

Bharat Shah is all set to venture into Hollywood with his first film over there titled Ode. The film will be based on a young gay man in Hollywood. However, Shah said he will not be releasing the film here in India since gay films are still considered a taboo out here. The film will be produced by G.K. Desai who has set up an office in Los Angeles. It will be directed by LA based Nilanjan Neil Lahiri.

The film is about a young gay Indian who runs away from his home to Hollywood because of his mother who disapproves his sexual preference. He manages to be a successful banker but his life is immersed in drugs, alcohol and sex.

Shah said that the film will have Indian actors in the film despite not releasing it in India.
