‘Rocky’ averts clash, shifted ahead

The Zayed Khan starrer ROCKY, which was slated for August 4, has been postponed by two weeks. The film will now hit the screens on August 18. Reason? “With ANTHONY KAUN HAI? [Sanju, Arshad] and SHAADI KARKE PHAS GAYA YAAR [Salman] slated for August 4, we decided to shift ROCKY to a later date. No point getting sandwiched between two films on August 4 and KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA on August 11,” ROCKY producer Shyam Bajaj reveals.
Bajaj continues in the same breath, “August 18 is more appropriate for another reason. Since no major release is confirmed for this date as of now, we would avoid competing with other films or cut into each other’s business. Also, since KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA would be a week old by August 18, we would be assured of getting playing time at multiplexes.”
