If Fanaa doesn't release by Friday, we will take the necessary steps.

Ever since the Fanaa controversy broke out, the film industry has been accused of not being united. However, putting all speculations to rest, a press conference was held at a suburban Mumbai hotel, in order to support Aamir Khan and Fanaa.
It was attended by personalities like Amit Khanna, chairman of the Film Producers Guild of India, Pahlaj Nihalani, Yash Chopra, Kunal Kohli, Raza Murad, Sudhir Mishra, Anupam Kher and Subhash Ghai.
They all expressed their support. Said Amit Khanna, "We want the film to release in Gujarat. If it does not release by the coming Friday, we will take the necessary steps." When asked what these steps were, he didn't mention anything. He went on to add, "The film industry has united to support Aamir, Fanaa and Yash Chopra. Aamir's comments were individualistic. That is no reason to ban the film."
Even Subhash Ghai was quite vocal about his thoughts. "If these comments were made by a doctor or lawyer, would their practice shut down? Aamir is being targeted because he is a celebrity."
