UTV very much releasing DON internationally

The much awaited Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don, produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Farhan Akhtar, is scheduled for a Diwali / Eid release this year. The film, which is currently under production, will be distributed overseas by the International Distribution arm of UTV.
Some time back there were some stories circulating in a section of the trade about Adlabs bidding for Don. But these rumors have been put to rest by producer Ritesh Sidhwani, who said, "U T V will release Don overseas."
In the overseas where the usual song-and-dance romances have been known to work, UTV has acquired the distinction of making even the most unconventional films with different genres such as those of Bluffmaster, Rang De Basanti & Taxi No. 9 2 11 deliver in a big way. After the superhit Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti, SRK's Don will be U T V's second tent-pole distribution venture of 2006.
U T V's next release is Priyadarshan's Shahid Kapoor – Kareena Kapoor - Paresh Rawal - Neha Dhupia comedy, Chup Chup Ke slated for a June 9 release.
