Pakistan's famous stage comedian and TV artist Umar Sharif (of 'Bakra Kishton Pe' fame) will be the first Pakistani filmmaker to direct an Indian movie. The film titled Tum Mere Ho stars yesteryear actor Rajesh Khanna along with Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Ashmit Patel and Aarti Chhabria. The shooting of the film has started and according to sources Umar will also be seen in the movie in a hilarious role.
According to Sharif, the film is an effort to build a bridge of friendship between the two countries. Tum Mere Ho will be the first Indian film directed by a Pakistani director with an entire Indian star cast. The film is a love story and will be shot in Hyderabad and Chicago. Though there have been talks of Umar Sharif acting in Hindi films on many previous occasions, this is the first time that he is officially a part of a Bollywood project.
However, Indian movies are banned in Pakistan. So what needs to be seen is whether Tum Mere Ho will be released in Pakistan.
