Saif Ali Khan’s first English film Being Cyrus produced by the Times Infotainment Media that released last week has won tremendous critical acclaim by one and all. This happens to be one film that has received a positive review from every section of the media as well.

And such has been the impact of the film that even someone like the reticent Aamir Khan who craves for perfection had only good words to share about the film. Says Aamir, “Being Cyrus is a wonderful film! The screenplay, the performances, the editing, the music and above all, the director's work, everything was bang on. Joy to watch!"

Director Farhan Akhtar who is currently busy filming his next venture Don in Malaysia also happened to check out this masterpiece and analyzing the film through a filmmaker’s eyes says, “A well crafted screenplay and a director with a unique individual style make it an exciting film to watch. The performances, the cinematography, the witty dialogue and the background score really stand out"

Excerpts from reviews and analysis by Indian media on Being Cyrus.

“….this is a rare, desi narrative that is seamlessly driven by both the marvelously enacted characters; and a supremely, succinctly crafted plot.... I seriously suggest you should check this neat little joint out. I don't think you'll regret the trip" - Mayank Shekhar, Mumbai Mirror'

"...a stylish thriller that's told in an immensely engaging style...It's clever, it's well-intended, it's shot and narrated so dramatically, it's done in English yet it's done using actors from the mainstream - it's got almost everything going for it. - Rajeev Masand, ibnlive.com

"It could be placed alongside 36 Chowrighee Lane, Hyderabad Blues, English August and a very tiny bunch of Indian English films that don’t end up as cultural oddities" - Deepa Gahlot, Asian Age

"...a teaser of a film that demands you to run along...bold new cinema with brave new histrionics..." - Nikhat Kazmi, Times of India

'It is coming-of-age, it is cool, it is urbane but far greater than that it is humane and unapologetic while, at the same time, brilliant in its execution and performances" - indiatimes.com

“Being Cyrus is a film that teases its viewers — in the way it unfolds in layers, in the way it keeps you guessing.” - Hindustan Times
