Producers of Jackpot to face court order

Producers Ritesh and G K Nayyar have received summon from court to pay their workers Rs 5.35 lakh or have their property seized. The duo is set to release their forthcoming movie Jackpot starring Himanshu Malik and Meghna Naidu in lead roles. It is believed that the movie was supposed to be released in 2005.
Prem Thakur, chairman of the Film Studio Setting and Allied Mazdoor Union, took the producers to the Bandra labor court last year. And the court has ruled in support of the workers and ordered the producers to pay Rs 5.35 lakh to them or the court will seize their property.
Nayyar on his part explained that the financer of the film hasn’t paid them. While they want to pay the workers, they are unable to do so till the financer pays them.
