Lyricist Sameer bags Sanjay Bhansali’s Saawariya

Anything that Sanjay Leela Bhansali does makes news. The talented film maker is busy with his newest project, Saawariya. This film also happens to be the launch pad of Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir and Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Sonam. The lyrics for the music of this film will be written by Sameer. He was actually in Hyderabad when Bhansali’s assistant got in touch with him. Apparently, the director was adamant on signing only Sameer. Earlier, the duo have worked together on the Ras Leela song in Devdas.
Sameer is really looking forward to this association. He never thought that Bhansali would approach him for an entire film. Around five songs have already been recorded. The lyricist believes that this movie will be a major stepping stone in his career. His other forthcoming projects include Shaadi Se Pehle, Baabul, Yun Hota To Kya Hota and 36 China Town.
