Alice Patten on the Rang De Basanti euphoria

Lord Patten's daughter, Alice, who debuted opposite Aamir Khan in UTV's Rang De Basanti, is back to work in London, and glad that her film is a runaway hit. "It's a great feeling and I'm so glad that it's worked for all of us," says Alice, whose prestigious play Hamlet debuted at the West End some days back. "I've been so busy with the play," she says, adding, "I felt nostalgic returning to Mumbai for the premiere of Rang De Basanti and seeing my old friends all over again. I was only there for two days but it was fun."
Incidentally, Alice saw the film with her folk at the Vue Cinema in Park Royal, where she was mobbed during the interval, when the audience realized that she was Aamir's girl. "The response from the audience was really quite overwhelming," she smiles. "Many of them came up and clicked photographs!"
Rang De Basanti has grossed nearly GBP 710,000 to date in the UK in less than a month of release while its cumulative to date in the US is nearly $1,839,400.
