Yash Chopra on Berlin Film Fest jury

Yash Chopra was the perfect Ambassador for India’s entertainment industry at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival. Arriving at Berlin’s Tegel Airport, he was greeted by the Festival Director Dieter Kosslick.
The first Indian to be representing the Indian film industry in a very long time, Yash Chopra said in the press conference that he “looked forward to seeing great films from all over the world, working with people from international cinema and learning from their films.”
On a tight schedule [19 films to see and finally select the winning film], the international jury was introduced to each other on February 8 to get a head start on their gruelling 10-day movie marathon.
Also present at the 56th Berlinale are major Hollywood stars, including George Clooney. The Chairperson of the jury is the well-known actress Charlotte Rampling.
Yash Chopra addressed a distinguished gathering on February 13, which included the entire German media, who were eager to know about his life and the films made by him.
