Om Puri plays a cop in Don

The roles that Om Puri has been accepting of late have been far and few. Among his roles are the role of a cop in Farhan Akhtar's Don and Mani Shankar's Mukhbir. His role in Don was originally played by Iftikar. The actor has been known for his quality driven work. However, he is disappointed because of the current trend of big stars doing the meaty character roles. And he certainly is upset with the A-list film makers who come to him only when they make small budget films. The talented actor was last seen in the year’s first hit Rang De Basanti.
