Sushmita’s special Republic Day

Taking some time off from all her acting commitments, Sushmita Sen was in Mumbai recently. The occasion was Republic Day and she was on the Indian Navy’s largest ship, INS Viraat. She met three children, Somaya, Jharna and Parth who were survivors of the earthquakes in Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir. She spent some quality time with the children and they quizzed her on everything from whether she has a boyfriend to how does it feel to be famous. Sushmita too, asked them about their lives. Before parting, they all exchanged gifts. While Sushmita had brought along gifts like a computer and a make-up box, the children gave her a flower vase and silver payals.
