There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding Mona Chopra’s actual name. Some say her name is Sherryl, some say its Menka whereas some say it’s Mona. So to sort out the confusion, we decided to ask her, ourselves! Her actual name is not Mona but Sherlin. She has been using the name Mona since it’s her nick name. However, in the upcoming film Red Swastik, she will be credited as Menka. The reason being that the director, Vinod Pande felt the name Mona is too common. In the meantime, in all her other films, she will be credited as Mona. A lot of confusion for sure, but we don’t think it matters. Like Shakespeare once wrote, A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
