Leading giants join hands

In a move that signifies their belief in the production sector, two leading production houses -- K. Sera Sera and Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. -- have joined hands to produce 15 [yes, fifteen] films from 2006 to 2008. The deal will involve investment to the tune of approx. Rs. 250 crores.
As part of this joint venture, the production companies have signed reputed directors like Abbas-Mustan [for two films], Priyadarshan [two films], David Dhawan [one film], Anees Bazmee [one film] and Rumi Jaffrey [one film]. Talks are on with a few more names currently. A-list actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan, besides others, are expected to feature in these films.
K. Sera Sera has produced a number of films with Ramgopal Varma in the past, while Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. had joined hands with Sohail Khan to produce MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA, besides distributing a string of films in Mumbai [MAIN HOON NA, AITRAAZ, MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI, GARV, TANGO CHARLIE, DUS, PAHELI, FAMILY, ZINDA] and Delhi-U.P. [ZINDA].
