When quizzed about his most fond memory of the place, Ashmit says, "I can't pick just one fond memory because everyday there was something that just blew me away. But in between on one of the days, we were shooting in this beautiful beach called Natadola. It had a coral bay exactly where we were shooting. I was so tempted to go in the water and do snorkeling but since I had no equipment on the first day. The next day a guy from production got us the equipment and since I had some time off, we jumped into the water and went on till the breaking point. Since it's a coral bay the water is really shallow. The deepest it could be is 4 to 5 feet so you can easily stand in the water at any given point except if you go all the way in where the waves break in and where the coral reef ends and the water could be as much as 30 to 40 meters deep and that is really scary. From the beach the waves look like may be 5 to 6 feet high but the closer we got there we realized that these waves are massive and are minimum 12 to 15 feet in height. I went the furthest I could go and I just stood 30 to 40 meters away from the beach in the middle of a coral reef with nothing but beautiful fish around and these massive waves. I felt so much gratitude towards the world and the universe and every person alive or dead. That was easily my most memorable moment."
Ashmit will next be seen in a film called Pariwar, directed by Vinod Chabra, where he will paired opposite TV actress Sara Khan and a film called Good Night with Kay Kay Menon and Kumar Gaurav, which is about a jewelry heist and is shot in Thailand. He also has UTV Bindass' TV show Superstud Season 2, which will go on air very soon.
Ashmit also tried his hand at some adventure sports during his extended stay. "I did zip lining for the first time in my life which was pretty cool. I also did scuba diving for the first time, which was the most unreal experience of my life. I actually stayed back two days just to do scuba diving," says Ashmit.
"I have been planning to do it for the longest time. In January, I had gone for a holiday to Maldives with the intention to do some scuba diving but I had a really bad cold then and the medical officer wouldn't let me go down with a bad cold as that would be very dangerous. I was really disappointed then," he adds.

Ashmit was very impressed with the wide variety of cuisines they offered. "Sheraton had several restaurants ranging from the local food to regular Mediterranean fare to even Indian food. They also had amazing Sushi. I am pretty much vegetarian but I like eating fish when I travel to costal areas so I gorged on the fresh fish over there especially the mahi-mahi which is fantastic over there, I also enjoyed their local food a lot," he says.
Ashmit was put up at the Sheraton, which is one of the most high end resorts in Fiji. "I was staying at the Sheraton, which is in Denarau Island, it is a part of Nadi Town and is reclaimed and its where all the high end resorts are. It is stunning, it is a marina bay area and they also have a golf court and tennis academy," says Ashmit, who is very fond of playing different sports.
Last month, Ashmit Patel visited the serene Fiji islands, for about 3 weeks for the shoot of a film. He extended his stay by a few days to try out some adventure sports. Speaking about the trip, Ashmit says, "I went to Fiji for the shoot of my film Supermodel, directed by Navin Batra. My film's cast and crew accompanied me on the trip."
