"Durums were my staple diet through the trip. They're like the shawarmas, but trust me, nothing like you have ever eaten before. It was divine! The thought of it gets my mouth to water! I also enjoyed the hamams (Turkish bath). It was so relaxing. It has 3 rooms - hot room for steam socking & massage, warm room & cool room.
An incidence that I can't forget is that I was staying at the Ciranjan Palace, which is the most magnificent hotel. There was an Indian destination wedding at the hotel and the family recognised me and wanted me to be a part of the celebration!"
"I shopped at the local flee market Bebek and picked up a lot of jewellery, local spices, evil eye pendants, key rings, apple tea (which is so yummy), crockery and a small carpet. Apart from shopping, Bebek also has an open air karaoke. I tested my vocal cords and sang in the middle of the flee market!"
"Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Bodrum - The sun shines differently here. The nights are longer, the drinks more enjoyable... You have to experience it to truly understand the attraction of Bodrum. It is the most magnificent place I have ever been to. I would strongly recommend Bodrum if you plan a trip to Turkey."
Neha Dhupia is, by now, a name that's synonymous with glitz, glam and lots of sheen! As they say, if the travel companion is as lovely as Neha, who cares about the destination? Well, Bollywood Hungama does... for both, the travel companion as well as the destination! That's why we got hold of Neha Dhupia and asked her to share some exotic images of the super exotic Turkey, the destination that she recently visited. Here's Neha Dhupia sharing her experience of her trip to Turkey...
"I always wanted to go to Turkey so I deliberately took some time off and went with friends. Istanbul is the only city in the world lying on two continents... And on the shores of the amazingly beautiful, timeless Bosphorus that runs between Asia and Europe is another legend. I always wanted to visit the place and experience both European & Asian cultures at the same time. It was my first trip and how I wish to go back some day."
