Along with Shah Rukh Khan, actress Huma Qureshi too received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her performance in Dedh Ishqiya. In fact, the actress even took to Twitter to express her joy saying, "With the award :-) yayyy thank u for the honour .. another one for Dedh Ishqiya a film I'm soo proud of". The actress attended the event in a maroon Madison tea style dress, pairing it up with black pointy pumps.
Shreyas Talpade, who turned an independent producer this year with Poshter Boyz (Marathi), also received the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award. He was accompanied by his wife Deepti Talpade for the event.
One of the star kids who made a debut this year was Tiger Shroff and his film Heropanti, a complete Bollywood masala entertainer, gained a lot of popularity. Also, Tiger, an ardent fan of Michael Jackson, has received a lot of praises and accolades for his dance and action. Amidst all of this, he received yet another honour in the form of Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award. He was accompanied along with his father Jackie Shroff for the ceremony.
Jackky Bhagnani, who is currently busy with the promotions of Welcome To Karachi, also received the honour for his film Youngistaan, where he played the role of a contemporary and young Prime Minister. The actor took to Twitter to express his happiness saying, "Honoured! Humbled! Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award- Best Performer, Youngistaan! #OnTopOfTheWorld wali feeling".
Yet another actor who was thrilled with the honour was none other than Rajkummar Rao. Rajkummar, who bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his heart-touching performance in the film Citylights in which he starred alongside his real life girlfriend Patralekha. In fact, the actor revealed that he was unaware of the fact that he was being considered for the award and it came as a surprise to him, when he got to know about it just three days prior.
