With the much prestigious fashion show, Lakme Fashion Week that kick started a few days ago, yet another design studio that made an impressive impact was the House of Milk with ‘The White Rose Collection’. It is this potent combination of wellness, luxury and purposeful design which drives House of Milk, a luxury lifestyle brand founded by ladyprenuers Reshma Merchant, wife of musician Suleiman Merchant of the Salim-Suleiman duo and Priyanka Kaul Lakdawala.
The latest collection of Healing Garments, The White Rose Collection, is inspired by Nature’s bounty and features motifs of velvety roses, bees and caterpillars. These self-coloured motifs come alive on a muted palette, of white and cream, a variety of chic silhouettes, embroidered and accented with sequins, in keeping with the soothing quaslities of the cloth itself. The pristine assemblage comprises cotton garments, silk garments, scarves, outfits for children, accessories and shoes.
Spotted at the event was Salim Merchant with his wife Jeanne too came in to support Reshma’s event. One of the main aims of the product is to promote a richer, more nourishing and fulfilling way of being, HOM’s toxin-free line of Healing Garments combines minimalistic designs and the goodness of non-toxic fabric infused with the additional benefit of Ayurvedic herbs.
“With our Healing Garments, we are reviving a 2000-year-old craft and we will be presenting a very sophisticated, luxurious, one-of-a-kind healing collection.” says designer Reshma Merchant.
