I tried explaining to Kartik but he kept saying that he didn't know the game and has never even seen any such thing in college. Finally, I had to do it in front of the whole class of approximately 50 people and only when all of them burst out laughing at me did I realize that Kartik had played a prank on me!"

"Since railway stations play an important role in the film, this location was meticulously chosen to be a part of an integral scene. This photo was taken just before shooting the last and most important shot of the pre-climax scene. That day, there was a technical problem with the railway tracks about 1 km away from where we were shooting. And because of this, a very long goods train had to pass through the platform on which we were shooting instead of the regular track. That's why the train we were using had to go way too far ahead to be able to turn and come back. So we had only one take as the next take was possible only after an hour and a half. No points for guessing how many takes we took that day!"

"The adjoining snap has me in an intense conversation with Kartik just before a high octane dramatic running sequence. Kartik was required to sprint for this shot and was rehearsing for the same, assuming that we were setting up the camera. I did not want to interrupt Kartik in 'his' moment while he was rehearsing for the scene. So, the DoP and I rolled the camera and got a perfect take in the rehearsal itself! Needless to say that it was really very funny to see Kartik's expression after that."

The whole atmosphere was gloomy. The silence spoke volumes that day and it worked really well for the scene."

"This snap was taken in the famous 'Paranthewali Gali' in Delhi. And since I am a big fan of the paranthas of this place, I took the actors with me to munch on paranthas after pack up on one of the shooting days. It was here that I conceived a sequence in the song 'Pad Gaye Ji', for which I came back to shoot at the crowded location. Special permissions had to be taken and an extensive police protection was arranged for the shoot to be carried on in the centre of bustling Delhi. Despite all this, within a few hours of shooting, the crowd outside the market had outgrown the police arrangement and the shoot had to be wrapped up earlier than planned."
