    Later a new release date was announced with the film being slated to hit screens on March 18, 2022.

    Interestingly, the film, Bachchhan Paandey was earlier scheduled to release on 25 December 2020. However, it was changed to 22 January 2021 on Aamir Khan’s request.

    Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala the film will see Akshay play the role of Bachchhan Paandey which intriguingly was his character name in the 2008 film Tashan.

    Bachchhan Paandey that also features Jacqueline Fernandez is said to be a remake of the Tamil film Jigarthanda, which itself was inspired by the 2006 South Korean movie A Dirty Carnival.
