Earlier this week, the makers of the highly anticipated Oh My God 2 unveiled the trailer of the social drama. With Pankaj Tripathi in the main role, the film features Yami Gautam Dhar and Akshay Kumar in key roles. Fans of the Vicky Donor actress have been eagerly waiting to see her on the big screen and many of her fans have expressed their happiness to see her in the role of a lawyer in the upcoming movie.
In the recently released trailer, Yami Gautam seems to be playing the powerful role of a prosecutor in the case that the character of Pankaj Tripathi files against his son’s school. Speaking about the character arch in OMG 2, Yami said “Having begun my career with a film which was an amalgamation of unique yet very relevant socio topic, I have never shied away from taking up opportunities to be a part of such important content driven films and hence once again I am grateful for being offered such an excellent script. I hope the audience also likes my character as much as they have showered their love to me before. Kamini is bold, resilient & poised. I have worked on this character with lot of love and dedication, I’m extremely excited for audience’ response, as always.”
Along with Yami Gautam playing a powerful character, the upcoming film is also expected to be driven by a strong subject. With Pankaj Tripathi playing the role of a common man fighting against the education institution, the film features Akshay Kumar yet again as an avatar of God (Lord Shiva). The film is expected to release in theatres on August 11.
Besides, Yami Gautam Dhar also has the film Dhoom Dhaam in the pipeline. The film will see her reunite with her husband Aditya Dhar after Uri: The Surgical Strike, and it also features Pratik Gandhi, Eijaz Khan, among others. The film is expected to premiere on JioCinema.
