Ghoomer trailer launch: “R Balki will never make a film without Amitabh Bachchan,” says Abhishek Bachchan : Bollywood News

After much anticipation, on August 4, the makers of Ghoomer finally dropped the trailer of Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer. Besides the brilliance of R Balki, it's Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo that has grabbed everyone’s attention. Speaking of the same during the Ghoomer trailer launch event, Abhishek stated that Amitabh Bachchan is R Balki’s “lucky charm.”

Abhishek said, “He (R Balki) will never make a film without Mr Amitabh Bachchan, so he finds some way to put him into a film. Even if you see his last couple of films, if he's not the main lead, he finds a cameo for him to do so.”

Jr Bachchan further added, “One thing Balki told me when we were producing Paa, is that I'll never make a film without Amitabh Bachchan. So, this is our ODE to him. He has a cameo in the film. Unfortunately, we're not together in the same frame.”

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Amitabh Bachchan turned narrator in R Balki’s last theatrical release, Chup. Bachchan had also appeared in Balki’s previous releases including Pad Man and Ki & Ka. In fact, Balki marked his directorial debut with an Amitabh Bachchan film, Cheeni Kum.

Coming back to Ghoomer, it is slated to release on August 18. Produced by Hope Productions and Saraswati Entertainment, the movie also marks the debut of Shivendra Singh and Invaka Das.
