The first poster of Meethe Mein Kya Hai, the directorial debut of Radhika Bansal, has been unveiled ahead of the film’s Netflix premiere on October 30. Starring Ritwik Bhowmik, Rohini Hattangadi, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Abhay Kaul, Tarana Raja, Gaurav K. Sharma, Vikram Bakshi and others, the film revolves around family relationships and togetherness during four days of Diwali celebrations. Presented by Utthan Capital and produced by Ajit Mohan, the film is positioned as a light-hearted family drama arriving on the streaming platform during the festive season.
The newly released poster brings together an entire household in a single frame, offering a glimpse into the film’s setting and its portrayal of a family gathering during Diwali. Blending humour with everyday situations, Meethe Mein Kya Hai explores familiar family dynamics, the changing nature of relationships and the moments that bring people closer. With its mix of warmth and drama, the film aims to appeal to viewers across generations, making it a family-oriented watch for the festive period.
For Radhika Bansal, the film marks an unconventional entry into filmmaking. She initially began writing as a way to maintain a journal but gradually found herself fictionalising personal experiences instead of documenting them directly. This process led to her first screenplay, a legal drama that attracted interest from major streaming platforms but did not receive a green light. The experience nevertheless encouraged her to continue developing stories.

Bansal subsequently wrote Meethe Mein Kya Hai in less than three months and decided to direct the project despite having no prior experience on a film set. She gave herself a year to complete the film and managed to bring it to fruition in eleven months.
The film features a mix of established performers and newer faces. Rohini Hattangadi, known for her performances in Saaransh, Arth and Agneepath, and for her BAFTA-winning work on Gandhi, stars alongside Ritwik Bhowmik, who has appeared in Bandish Bandits, The Whistleblower and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. Ayesha Raza Mishra, known for Veere Di Wedding, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, is also part of the cast.
Tarana Raja, who appeared in Sitaare Zameen Par, joins Abhay Kaul, Dalai, Vikram Bakshi, Shivika Rishi, Gaurav K. Sharma, Ayuushman Ghai and Kanikka Kapur in the film.
With its focus on family bonds, shared celebrations and everyday moments, Meethe Mein Kya Hai is set to join Netflix’s festive entertainment lineup. The film will begin streaming on October 30, while its trailer is expected to be released soon.
