Exclusive: Here’s what Salman Khan wished for on his birthday, reveals about his bond with Shah Rukh Khan

It’s celebrations galore this week for Salman Khan. While Dabangg 3 has crossed Rs. 125 crore, his youngest sibling Arpita Sharma, gave birth to little baby girl Ayat Sharma yesterday. He celebrated his 54th birthday yesterday at his brother Sohail Khan’s Bandra apartment, on December 26, by bringing it in with close friends and family. Salman’s entire family was present consisting of his parents, Salim and Salma Khan, brother in laws and sisters Atul and Alvira Agnihotri, and Aayush and Arpita Sharma, brothers Sohail with wife Seema and Arbaaz with their children. The party went on till 7 am in the morning and yesterday night, Salman drove down to his Panvel farmhouse to celebrate the rest of his birthday. Close buddy Shah Rukh Khan dropped in to wish him after 3 am and left early morning.

Salman shared his happiness with Bollywood Hungama and told us exclusively what his birthday wish was…

Salman Khan’s birthday is one of the most special days of Bollywood. Fans and celebs have already wished the super star on his birthday. When quizzed about what he feels on his birthday, Salman said, “It is a happy day. I am very grateful and feel blessed that there are so many loved ones in my life who I love. Friends, family and fans - everyone.”

Like Salman, his birthday wishes are simple and not revolving around extravagant. He told us all that he wishes for is, “Continued enthusiasm and strength to give back the same kind of love that my fans have blessed me with, for the last three decades of my career in cinema is all that I wish for.”

Dabangg 3 has crossed over Rs. 125 crore and still going strong at the box-office. In a week which saw protests throughout India, because of the CAA and NRC, because of his stardom, D3 not only got a good opening but doing very well in the second week (started from today). What does he attribute this to? “It feels great if this is the sentiment. I, only and only attribute this to the love that I get from my fans. In the last three decades, they have always loved and supported me with my every project. I feel blessed.”

One of his closest friend Shah Rukh Khan attended his party again after last year. “We share a very positive bond and mutual admiration for each other. Shah Rukh Khan is a very dear and old friend. Even if we do not meet on a daily basis, we are very much in touch.”
