Last week, it was the Hollywood biggie THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 that dominated the box-office, overshadowing the Bollywood releases. This week, the scenario was much, much crowded, with HAWAA HAWAAI, KOYELAANCHAL, YEH HAI BAKRAPUR, MASTRAM and MANJUNATH vying for audience attention. However, the response was poor across the board.
Amongst new releases, HAWAA HAWAAI and MASTRAM have an edge over the remaining titles. KOYELAANCHAL has some scope at single screens, while YEH HAI BAKRAPUR and MANJUNATH, well-made films both, will have to show a major jump in business to sustain at the BO.
The holdover titles THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and 2 STATES are expected to dominate again this weekend. In fact, 2 STATES should cross the 100 cr mark over the weekend, thus becoming the second film this year [after JAI HO] to hit the ton.
