Anushka Sharma's maiden production venture NH10 that also features her as the leading lady released today. The film which has garnered good reviews across the diaspora from the critics deals with the topic of honour killings and violence in North India.
NH10 that has been much talked about in the weeks prior to its release has not surprisingly started on a rather slow note. Reports from across the country suggest that the film has opened to a meager 25% occupancy rate during morning shows. This less than expected start can partially be attributed to the exam fever that has gripped the country coupled with a major chunk of cinema going audience religiously following the ongoing cricket World Cup, along with the 'A' rating certificate the film received.
On the whole, despite being a good film that managed to build up quite a bit of hype prior to its release NH10 faces a somewhat uphill task in terms of collections. Thanks to this the film will have to depend heavily on positive word of mouth overpowering the general notion that it may be too violent to watch.
