This week we see the release of the Sushant Singh Rajput – Shraddha Kapoor starrer CHHICHHORE. The film which marks DANGAL director Nitesh Tiwari’s first directorial venture since the release of Aamir Khan starrer comes with immense expectations.
Reports state that CHHICHHORE that has received rather positive feedback from the critics has opened on a slow note. In fact, the occupancy rate during morning shows is being pegged at just 15%. The lack lustre promotions and the low key publicity campaign have greatly affected the film’s opening at the box office. Compounding this is the fact the film hits screens in the middle of Ganesh Chaturthi and Muharram which has further dampened the box office expectations.
On the whole, CHHICHHORE despite receiving good feedback from critics faces an uphill task at the box office. Making matters worse is the fact that the film has just one week to entice the audience, since the following week will see three film viz. PEHLWAAN, SECTION 375 and DREAM GIRL hitting screens.
